Born in The Netherlands, 1945.

I was working in the research department of the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam, for over 36 years, most of the time in the Department of Electron Microscopy and had excellent skills in micro surgery with over twenty years experience.

I moved after my retirement to Krakow, Poland and am enjoying the rich cultural life in that town. Except music and dance, theater and architecture have my great interest.

Started at the age of 16 with photography with a simple Zeiss camera, I bought two years later a Nikkormat with lenses of 28, 50 and 135mm and used this equipment until the switch to the digital era, buying in 2004  a Nikon D70.

In the analog era I developed films and printed negatives at home in an own darkroom.

At present I am photographing with a Nikon Z7, mostly equipped with the Nikkor 24-120/4 which is regularly switched for the Nikkor 70-200/4 or Nikkor 14-30/4.

For special purposes a Linhof Technikardan 4x5inch  technical camera is available with several lenses for that large format.

Anyone who is interested in extraordinary photography can contact me for fulfilling his/her wishes: from casual children portraits to portfolio's for dancers/models or from documenting performances to food and interior photography.
